Tutorial 6: Organic Erosion Vessel
Drive 3D value noise into Modulate Path to roughen a Circle in the normal or Z direction, then Layer Stacker for a column that looks eroded or weathered—a classic field → geometry pattern (compare to Grasshopper + Perlin on points).

What you'll learn
- Noise Field sampling along the same path you modulate
- Modulate Path with closed path and gain
- Octaves and seed for different erosion character
Prerequisites
- Tutorials 1 and 2; comfort with the Fields category
Step 1: Circle and noise
Step 1
Print Bed → Circle; path to Noise and Modulate
Build Print Bed → Circle as usual. Connect Circle path to Noise Field samples and to Modulate Path path. Connect Noise values → Modulate values. In Modulate Path, set Direction to Z (or try Normal (2D) for ribbing). Tune Gain and noise Frequency / Amplitude / Octaves.
Step 2: Stack
Step 2
Layer Stacker to Output
Connect Modulate Path path → Layer Stacker path, set layer count and height, then → Output Toolpath.
Outcome
A unique organic exterior every time you change seed or field strength.
