Tutorial 14: Adaptive Textured Print

Go beyond geometry: Adaptive Layers varies layer height from a noise field (per-layer schedule), then Flow Modulate drives per-segment flow from a wave field, with Seam Shift and Travel Optimize polishing the toolpath before G-code—process control in the node graph.

What you'll learn

Prerequisites

Step 1: Field-driven layers

Step 1

Series → Noise → Adaptive Layers

Print Bed → Circle path. A Series of length N feeds Noise Field samples; Noise values → Adaptive Layers field. Set minH / maxH for the layer height range. Path into Adaptive path.

Step 2: Flow, seam, travel

Step 2

Second series → Wave → Flow; then seam and optimize

Series (same count) → Wave Field samples; values → Flow Modulate values with Adaptive toolpath in. Then Seam Shift (e.g. random + seed) and Travel Optimize before Output Toolpath.

Outcome

A richer G-code story than a plain spiral: layer height and extrusion texture from fields.
