Tutorial 10: Morphing Vase
Loft Profiles stitches two closed profiles into a mesh with intermediate rings: here a Circle at the base and a Polygon above, each moved in Z so the loft runs vertically—classic shape morphing (Grasshopper loft style).

What you'll learn
- Loft Profiles
vertexCountandsubdiv(intermediate rings) - Move to separate profiles in Z
- Matching segment counts (both inputs are resampled by arc length in-engine)
Prerequisites
- Tutorials 3 and 5 (mesh output)
Step 1: Two profiles
Step 1
Circle and polygon on the bed, move top profile
Print Bed center → Circle and Polygon center. Move the circle with zero offset (optional) and move the polygon with Z offset (e.g. 55). Wire each Move path → Loft a and b (order controls which is bottom vs top in the default stitch).
Step 2: Loft to Output
Step 2
Loft to Preview mesh
Set subdiv to add rings between top and bottom. Loft mesh → Output Preview mesh.
Outcome
A single watertight-style shell useful as a decorative vase or desk prototype.
