Synth

Get knit- or weave-like surface rhythm without image textures. Synth builds repeating relief from math only: set how often the pattern wraps around the vase (U) and how many bands stack along height (V), then tune Depth (mm) and Sharpness.

Check is a smooth grid of bumps. Basket uses the same pattern but flips sign on alternating layers so ridges read as staggered rows. Wales favors vertical ribs; Chevron and Diagonal bias relief along opposite diagonal directions.

Parameters

Pattern
Wales: vertical ribs. Chevron: diagonal V. Check: grid product. Basket: Check with alternating layer sign. Diagonal: ribs along the opposite diagonal family from Chevron.
Repeat around (U)
How many pattern cycles wrap around the circumference.
Repeat along height (V)
How many pattern cycles stack from bottom to top.
Depth (mm)
Radial relief strength.
Phase U / Phase V
Rotate the pattern around the vase or along height.
Skew
Chevron: skews the diagonal mix. Diagonal: scales frequency along the u−v direction.
Sharpness
Soft sine relief versus squarer, crisper ridges (similar idea to Knurling).
Spiral (°)
Rotates the pattern around the vase as height increases (same idea as on other surface effects).
Growth
When a growth curve is enabled, effect strength follows the curve over height (same as Z-Ripple, Knurling, and other supported effects).
