Speed Mod
Speed Mod oscillates how fast the nozzle travels around the perimeter as a function of angle. It does not move the mesh: the toolpath geometry stays the same while feedrate is modulated, so you can exploit speed-dependent gloss, slight width change, or material sheen. Use it when you want circumferential variation that reads in the finish rather than in measured wall position.

Parameters
Frequency- How often speed cycles around the layer (0.1–30). Higher values pack more alternations between fast and slow segments along the loop.
Amplitude- Depth of speed variation as a percentage of the baseline feed (0–10). Larger values exaggerate the difference between slow and fast arcs; zero disables modulation.
How It Works
The modulator outputs a normalized waveform as a function of angular position. That value is mapped into a speed multiplier (or delta) applied when the slicer or exporter emits moves, so each short segment of the perimeter can be assigned a different target speed.
Because displacement is unchanged, layer alignment and nominal wall thickness from geometry are preserved; only motion timing changes. Results depend on filament, temperature, and cooling, so the same numeric settings can look different across materials.
