Shift X/Y
Shift X/Y moves the profile in the XY plane as a function of height (or a constant offset) without breaking wall continuity. You can get smooth S-curves, noisy drift, or a steady lean depending on Mode and Axis. Amplitudes are capped in the UI for predictable, printable lateral motion.

Parameters
X Shift (mm)- Maximum displacement along X when that axis is active (0–20 mm).
Y Shift (mm)- Maximum displacement along Y when that axis is active (0–20 mm).
Cycles- How many full oscillations (sine) or correlation length scales (noise) occur over height (0.1–20).
Phase- Starting angle of the sine driver in radians (0–6.28).
Mode- 0 = sine wave along height, 1 = procedural noise drift, 2 = constant linear ramp.
Axis- 0 = shift both X and Y, 1 = X only, 2 = Y only.
How It Works
The effect evaluates a 1D parameter (typically height) and maps it through the chosen Mode to a 2D translation vector. That vector is applied in the slice plane so each layer’s outline moves as a rigid translation while the path order stays valid. Axis masks components so you can shear in one direction only; Cycles sets how rapidly the offset changes from bottom to top for sine and noise.
