Shattered Cells
Crack. The surface fractures into irregular shards like a frozen windshield or dried desert mud. Shattered Cells uses Voronoi tessellation with vertex distortion to generate organic, broken-glass patterns. Each cell gets its own brightness, creating depth between the fragments. It's dramatic, it's raw, and it prints like a dream.

Parameters
Cell Count- Number of Voronoi seed points. More cells = smaller, denser fragments; fewer = large dramatic shards.
Fill Ratio- Controls the fill density of the cells. Determines how much of each cell is active in the pattern.
Distortion- Vertex noise applied to cell boundaries. Zero = clean geometric Voronoi; high = jagged, organic cracks like dried lava.
Edge Width- Width of the fracture lines between cells. Thick edges look like deep cracks; thin edges feel like hairline fractures.
Blur- Smooths the fracture edges for a weathered, eroded look rather than fresh breaks.
Seed- Repositions all Voronoi seeds -- each seed shatters the glass differently.
Resolution- Texture resolution in pixels. Higher values capture fine crack detail.
Ratio- Aspect ratio of the texture. Adjust so cells don't appear stretched on your UV.
Depth (mm)- Displacement depth. Positive raises cell faces outward; negative carves cracks into the surface.
Tile U / Tile V- Tiles the shattered pattern around (U) and along height (V). The cracks meet seamlessly at tile boundaries.
Rotation- Rotates the crack pattern on the UV map.
Width Gain- Varies extrusion width with cell brightness -- lighter cells get thicker lines for embossed tile faces.
Flow Gain- Extra filament on brighter cells makes them physically taller -- real depth between the shards.
