Vase Spiralizer
Turn a closed profile Path into a continuous spiral Toolpath that climbs Z by layerHeight / samplesPerLayer per step. The result is a single Toolpath segment (no travels between layers) — the signature of classic "vase mode" prints.

Sockets
path (in)- Path. Required — a closed profile with ≥3 vertices.
layers (in)- Int. Optional layer-count override.
layerHeight (in)- Float. Optional layer-height override.
toolpath (out)- Toolpath — a single continuous segment spiralling upward.
Parameters
Layers- Number of laps. Default: 40.
Layer H (mm)- Rise per lap. Default: 0.2.
Z Start (mm)- Z of the first point. Default: 0.2.
Start Scale / End Scale- Per-layer XY scale — linearly interpolated from start to end across the full spiral. Defaults: 1 and 1.
When to Use
Vase Spiralizer is the go-to for:
- Classic vase-mode flower pots and cups.
- Cone / bowl / bell shapes driven by the Start→End Scale gradient.
- Any single-wall print where you want a seamless, continuous extrusion.
It accepts any closed profile — circles, rectangles, superformulas, modulated curves — so the silhouette is limited only by the upstream profile.
