Remap

Linearly maps a value from source range [srcMin, srcMax] onto destination range [dstMin, dstMax]. Optional clamping prevents the output from exceeding the destination bounds.

Node

Sockets

value (in)
Float. The value to remap.
srcMin, srcMax (in)
Floats. Source range bounds (override the parameters).
dstMin, dstMax (in)
Floats. Destination range bounds (override the parameters).
value (out)
Float. The remapped result.

Parameters

Src Min
Low end of the source range. Default: 0.
Src Max
High end of the source range. Default: 1.
Dst Min
Low end of the destination range. Default: 0.
Dst Max
High end of the destination range. Default: 1.
Clamp
When on, the output is clamped to [dstMin, dstMax]. When off, out-of-range inputs extrapolate linearly.

How It Works

t = (value - srcMin) / (srcMax - srcMin)
out = dstMin + t * (dstMax - dstMin)

If srcMin == srcMax the source range is degenerate and the output falls back to dstMin. Negative ranges (dstMax < dstMin) are supported — the mapping simply inverts.
