Hole Grid
Places a grid of holes (circles or squares) on the unwrapped surface: inside each hole the toolpath becomes travel (no extrusion). Hole diameter (mm) sets the cutout size and can be shaped over height with the Growth curve.

Parameters
Distance between holes (mm)- Target centre-to-centre spacing. The panel shows how many holes fit around the wall (U) and up the height (V) for your current profile radius and print height.
Hole shape- Circles (Euclidean distance in the unwrap) or axis-aligned squares in the same plane.
Hole diameter (mm)- Width of the cutout in millimetres. Growth curve scales effective size over Z.
Jitter- Randomises each hole centre within its cell (0 = regular lattice).
Seed- Different layouts for the same settings.
Path quality
The engine automatically uses finer wall samples around the perimeter when Hole Grid is enabled, so hole boundaries are evaluated often enough to look smooth in the preview and in G-code (not a few coarse facets). Vertical stepping between printed layers still follows your layer height—smaller layer height improves the “stacked” look of hole edges on the real part.
