Heart Shape

This effect replaces the circular cross-section with a classic heart silhouette. Width and length set horizontal and vertical extent independently, so you can stretch or squash the symbol to fit your design. It defines path geometry (not bump-style displacement), does not support Growth Curve, and pairs well with decorative profiles for gifts and themed prints.

Parameters

Width (mm)
Horizontal extent of the heart (1–500 mm).
Length (mm)
Vertical extent of the heart (1–500 mm).
Spiral (°)
Rotation of the heart that increases with height (−1800° to 1800°).
Phase
Angular offset of the heart around the layer (0–6.28 rad).

How It Works

The heart outline is built from an implicit heart curve, sampled into a closed loop that becomes the cross-section at each height. Your profile scales how large that loop is along the model; Spiral and Phase only reorient the silhouette around the central axis.

This is the same class of control as other shape effects: the wall follows the heart boundary rather than starting from a circle plus displacement. Growth Curve is unavailable because the effect is pure cross-section definition.
