Fabric Weave
A simulated warp-and-weft weave: horizontal and vertical bundles of lines interlaced with a subtle sinusoidal offset. Built specifically for fabric-style 3D prints, where layers should fuse into something that feels woven.

Parameters
Fabric Weave parameters
Width- Pattern width in mm. Range 10–500, default 100.
Height- Pattern height in mm. Range 10–500, default 100.
Spacing- Distance between adjacent warp (and weft) lines in mm. Range 0.5–10, default 2. Lower spacing = denser weave; keep roughly at the nozzle line width for solid fabric, double it for airy weaves.
Weave Amplitude- Magnitude of the per-line sinusoidal offset in mm. Range 0–5, default 1. Controls how pronounced the "over/under" feel is — at 0 the weave degenerates to a straight grid.
Weave Frequency- Frequency of the weave oscillation (rad/mm). Range 0.1–5, default 1. Higher frequency creates more interlacing points per line.
The generator produces two bundles — warp (running along Y) and weft (running along X). The sinusoidal offsets are perpendicular, so where warp peaks, weft dips.
Typical use
- Fabric-feel coasters and flat prints — sit this on top of a
parallel-linesbase for a layered textile look. - Patterned gift cards — short, high-spacing weaves produce bold lines that read from across the room.
- With
z-undulation— pair with a small Z Undulation filter for a print that literally bumps up and down with the weave.
