Fabric Sculpt
Fabric Sculpt turns 2D line generators into stacked extrusion G-code. You pick a generator (parallel lines, fabric-weave, spirals, waves), optionally add filters, then stack layers that fit your printer bed.
What It Is
- Generators — 2D line recipes that fill the bed rectangle (with margin)
- Filters — optional bends, rounding, or noise on those lines
- Stack (G-code) — layer count, alternate rotation, and Z offset
- Direct G-code — the path is the design; there is no STL step
What You Can Build
- Line sculptures — parallel or woven stacks that read as fabric in plastic
- Decorative panels — rotated layers for a shifted weave
- Bed-fitted experiments — the pattern scales to the active machine size
Your First Fabric Print
- Open 3dSynth and select Fabric Sculpt
- Choose parallel-lines or fabric-weave in Generator
- Set Layers to
40–80so the stack is visible - Confirm bed dimensions on the Print tab
- Preview in 3D, then Download G-code
