Tutorial 1: Your First Catalog Print
Predefined Models are parametric catalog parts. You pick a model, change numbers, preview, and export G-code — no profile editor or node graph.

Step 1: Open Predefined Models

Add the module
From the empty canvas, click Predefined Models. The left dock shows the catalog grid (hex adapters, spacers, threaded fasteners) and a parameter panel.
Step 2: Pick Nonplanar Spacer

Select the spacer
In the model grid, pick Nonplanar Spacer. The 3D preview shows a circular spacer with sinusoidal waves. The toolpath is a continuous spiral from the inner hole outward — no travel between rings.
Step 3: Print presets

Set machine, nozzle, and material
Open the Print tab and set printer, nozzle, and material to match the machine you will use. These presets are global — they apply to Predefined Models the same way they apply to G-code Sculptor.
Step 4: Change a few numbers

Tune Waves and diameter
In the parameter panel, try:
- Waves — 4–6 for larger lobes, 8–10 for a finer pattern (default is 6)
- Hole Size — inner hole diameter in millimetres
- Diameter Ratio — outer diameter = Hole Size × this ratio
The preview updates live. Leave Quantity at 1 for a first print.
Step 5: Export G-code

Download and print
Export G-code from the toolbar when the preview looks right. Orbit the path first. Preview can skip the collision buffer; export enforces it. You remain responsible for the print.
Outcome
You have a catalog part as G-code, sized with explicit millimetre parameters, using the same Print presets as the rest of 3dSynth.
