Tutorial 7: Gravity Lamp

Place an “invisible” attractor in space: Point Attractor outputs a distance falloff field; Modulate Path uses it to bulge a circular path before stacking—ideal for a lamp or vase that leans toward a point.

What you'll learn

Prerequisites

Step 1: Samples and field

Step 1

Circle path to Point Attractor and Modulate

Print BedCircle; wire path to Point Attractor samples and Modulate Path path. Add Vector3 (e.g. 12, 0, 14) → attractor. Connect pointAttractor valuesModulate values. Set Modulate mode to Normal (2D) or Z depending on whether you want radial wobble or vertical push; raise gain until the preview shows clear deformation.

Step 2: Stack and export

Step 2

Layer Stacker to Output

Modulate pathLayer StackerOutput Toolpath as in earlier tutorials.

Outcome

A bulged silhouette you can re-centre by editing the Vector3 or attractor radius.
