Seam Shift
Rotate the start point (the "seam") of every closed segment in a Toolpath, with fixed, rotating, or pseudo-random modes. Used to hide layer seams by scattering them around the silhouette instead of stacking them in one vertical scar.

Sockets
toolpath (in)- Toolpath. Required.
shift (in)- Int. Optional shift override.
toolpath (out)- Toolpath — same geometry, seam rotated per-layer.
Parameters
Mode- How the shift evolves per layer. Fixed offset (constant), Rotating (shift · layerIndex — classic spiral), Pseudo-random (seeded RNG per layer).
Shift / layer- Number of vertices per layer. Default: 1. Negative values rotate the other way.
Seed- RNG seed for Pseudo-random mode. Default: 1. Same seed → same random pattern.
How It Works
Only closed segments (first ≈ last point) are touched; open segments and travels pass through unchanged. The seam vertex is preserved so the polyline closes onto itself. shift is interpreted in vertices, not arc length — pair with Divide Curve upstream for a length-based offset.
