Navigation Gizmo

The 3D viewport includes a navigation gizmo in the top-right corner, inspired by Blender's 3D Viewport. Use it to orbit, zoom, pan, frame the model, and switch between perspective and orthographic projection without using the mouse on the canvas or the keyboard.

Location

The gizmo sits inside the viewport, just below the top toolbar and to the right. The layer range slider is placed below it so they do not overlap.

Orbit disc

The circular disc shows the current view orientation with axis labels (X, Y, Z in red, green, blue).

Buttons below the disc

ButtonAction
Zoom (magnifying glass)Click to zoom in one step. Click and drag up/down for continuous zoom (drag up = zoom in, drag down = zoom out).
Pan / Frame (hand)Drag to pan the view. Click (without dragging) to Frame All — fit the entire model in view.
Projection (grid / perspective icon)Click to toggle between perspective and orthographic projection. Same as Numpad 5.

Keyboard shortcuts

The same navigation is available via the keyboard. See Keyboard Shortcuts for Numpad 1/3/7 (view alignment), Numpad 2/4/6/8 (orbit), Numpad 5 (projection), Numpad +/- (zoom), and Home (frame all).

Mouse on canvas

You can still use the main viewport with the mouse:

The gizmo is an alternative when you prefer a fixed on-screen control or when using keyboard-only navigation.
