Wavy Vase
Creates smooth, flowing undulations by combining low-frequency sine waves in both the U (circumferential) and V (vertical) directions. The result is a gentle, organic vase-like shape with broad, rolling curves.
Unlike Surface Waves, which operates on a single axis at a time, Wavy Vase blends two sine waves simultaneously for a more natural, two-dimensional undulation.
Parameters
Amplitude- Maximum displacement in mm (0–20). Controls how far the surface bulges outward at the wave peaks.
Freq U- Number of wave lobes around the circumference (1–20). Determines how many bumps appear when viewed from above.
Freq V- Number of wave lobes along the height (1–20). Determines how many bumps appear in the vertical profile.
Phase- Phase offset in radians (0–2\u03C0). Rotates the entire wave pattern around the circumference.
How It Works
Wavy Vase multiplies two sine waves — one varying with U (circumference) and one varying with V (height). Where both waves are positive, the surface pushes outward, creating a bulge. Where one or both are negative, the surface stays neutral or pulls inward. This product creates a smooth, egg-carton-like displacement that wraps naturally around cylindrical surfaces.
