Ripple Deformation

Displaces each point radially outward or inward by a sine wave of the distance from the origin — like pond ripples spreading from a dropped stone.

Ripple Deformation applied to a grid pattern

Parameters

Ripple Deformation parameters

Amplitude
Peak radial displacement in mm. Range 0–100, default 10. Positive values push points outward at peaks, inward at troughs.
Frequency
Wave frequency in radians per mm. Range 0.001–0.5, default 0.05. Higher values pack more concentric waves into the pattern.
Phase
Phase offset in radians. Range 0 to 2π, default 0. Shifts the ripple pattern outward or inward without changing its shape.

Displacement formula: each point's polar distance is modulated by Amplitude × sin(dist × Frequency + Phase), then the point is moved along its radial direction (centred on the origin).
