Noise Displacement

Displaces each point using 2D simplex noise, producing organic, non-periodic distortions. The go-to filter when you want a hand-drawn feel instead of clean mathematical curves.

Parameters

Noise Displacement parameters

Amplitude
Maximum displacement in mm. Range 0–100, default 10. Each coordinate is displaced by up to ±Amplitude independently.
Scale
Input coordinate scale for the noise function. Range 0.001–0.5, default 0.02. Smaller values produce larger features (gentle swells); larger values produce finer grainy texture.
Seed
Random seed for the noise generator. Range 0–10 000, default 1. Changing the seed reshuffles the noise field — same pattern, different displacement.

X and Y displacements sample from different regions of the noise field, so the result is smoothly continuous but not correlated between axes.
