Corner Rounding (Chaikin)
Applies Chaikin's corner cutting algorithm to smooth sharp angles in every path. Each iteration replaces each corner with two new points at ¼ and ¾ of the way along the adjacent segments.

Parameters
Corner Rounding parameters
Smoothing Iterations- Number of Chaikin passes. Range 1–5, default 2. Each iteration doubles the point count and visibly smooths corners. One or two iterations are usually enough for a polished look.
Each iteration produces twice as many points as the input (2 × n per iteration), so 5 iterations on a 100-point polyline yields a 3 200-point polyline. Use sparingly on dense generators.
Typical use
- Smoothing polygon-based generators like Concentric Curves (Hexagon / Square modes) — soften the hard corners.
- After displacement filters — if Noise or Sine introduce sharp kinks, round them off.
- Converting pixel-style paths into flowing curves.
