Activating Your License

A 3dSynth Premium license is a one-time purchase via Gumroad that unlocks every Premium feature on both the web and desktop apps. Activation is the same key on either platform — enter it once per device and you're done.

Where your key lives

After purchase, Gumroad sends an order confirmation email containing:

A download link for the desktop app (Windows / macOS / Linux).
Your license key — a long hyphenated string (e.g. XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX).

Keep that email — you'll paste the key into 3dSynth to activate Premium.

Activating in the web browser

Use this when you run 3dSynth at 3dsynth.app or on a Chromebook / iPad browser.

In the top toolbar, click the Key icon labelled License. (The startup dialog also offers an Enter License… shortcut if you haven't dismissed it.)
The License dialog appears. Paste your Gumroad key into the License Key field. Email is optional.
Click Verify & Save. 3dSynth contacts Gumroad, confirms the key, and stores it in your browser's local storage.
On success the dialog flips to Premium Activated! and every Premium feature unlocks immediately.

Email (optional): The email you used on Gumroad. It is stored alongside the key and shown when you re-open the dialog — useful if multiple people share a workstation.
License Key: The key from your Gumroad receipt. Must be at least 10 characters; the app trims whitespace for you.
Verify & Save: Verifies the key against Gumroad's API and stores it locally on success.
Clear license: Appears once a license is verified. Removes the saved key from this browser — use when handing the machine to another user.

Activating in the desktop app

Launch the desktop app (see Desktop App for install).
Open Help → License… (or click Open License… on the startup dialog if it appears).
Paste the same Gumroad key and click Verify & Save.
Premium unlocks immediately; the key persists between launches.

Cross-device use

Your license is tied to your Gumroad purchase, not to a specific machine. Activate on as many devices as you actually use — the app only verifies once and then stores the key locally. Do not share, resell, or let other people use your key as their own license. If you hit a Gumroad activation limit, email support and we'll bump it for you.

Deactivating or moving to a new device

On the source machine, open the License dialog and click Clear license. Premium locks immediately and the key is removed from that browser or desktop profile.
On the new machine, open the License dialog and enter the key as if it were the first time.

Common issues

“Verification failed”: Double-check the key — copy it directly from the Gumroad email to avoid missing characters. If the key looks correct, try again a few minutes later; rare Gumroad API hiccups resolve themselves.
Dialog keeps showing after activation: Ensure your browser allows localStorage. Private / incognito windows clear storage on close, which forces re-activation every session.
Premium features still locked: Refresh the page once. If problems persist, open the License dialog — an active license shows a green “License verified and active!” badge.
